ANYONE REMEMBER THIS FIRE IN LONDON?
London's YMCA after fire in 1981.
Our YMCA after an arsonist set it on fire January 4, 1981. Cost: $1 million. The building was opened in 1897. Citi Plaza now occupies the site on Wellington St.
Ditto the above comment. Hotel London was where City Center is, City Plaze (Galleria) dundas St frontage was Fryfogal's and various other non descript shops.
How could I ever forget the London Y fire. I was living there while I looked for work in London. Met my ex wife there but had some great memories. We were lucky no one was killed.
This actually was located at the SW corner of Wellington St & Queens Ave. So One London Place is now located where the YMCA used to be
